چکیده

Abstract We present Hubble Space Telescope Wide Field Camera 3 photometric and grism observations of the candidate ultra-high-redshift ( $z>7$ ) radio galaxy, GLEAM J0917–0012. This source was selected due to curvature in its 70–230 MHz, low-frequency Murchison Widefield Array spectrum faintness K -band. Follow-up spectroscopic this with Jansky Very Large Atacama Millimetre were inconclusive as redshift. Our F105W F0986M imaging detect host J0917–0012 a companion $\sim$ one arcsec away. The G102 reveal single weak line each spectra companion. To help identify these lines we utilised several redshift techniques including template fitting spectra, ultraviolet (UV)-to-radio photometry galaxy templates plus synchrotron model, UV-to-near-infrared EAZY , data alone RAiSERed . For find at $1.12\,\mu$ m UV-to-radio spectral energy distribution (SED) favours solutions $z\sim 2$ or 8$ While shows preference for lower solution, models from higher solution are more consistent strength line. constraint by $>6.5$ also supports interpretation that could be Lyman $-\alpha$ $z=8.21$ ; however solution. discuss implications both solutions. $0.98\,\mu$ SED $z<3$ implying [OII] $\lambda3727$ doublet $z=1.63$ (although is 2.6\pm 0.5$ ). Further still required unambiguously determine intriguing galaxy.

Observations of Galaxy Clustering at High Redshift

This paper reviews the current status of measurements of galaxy clustering at high redshifts (z > ∼ 0.3). The focus is on the inherent limitations in the observation and interpretation of the “evolution of clustering”. It is likely that results from the first attempts to characterize galaxy clustering beyond the “local” universe have been significantly limited by sample variance, as the difficu...

Xray observations of high redshift radio galaxies

I summarize Xray properties of high redshift radio galaxies, beginning with a brief review of what has been learned from Xray observations of low redshift powerful radio galaxies (in particular, Cygnus A), and then turning to Chandra observations of four high redshift radio galaxies. Hot Xray emitting atmospheres of the type seen in low redshift clusters are not detected in the high redshift so...

Radio Observations of High Redshift Star Forming Galaxies

I summarize recent results from radio observations of high redshift star forming galaxies, discuss radio continuum emission as a measure of star formation rate, and consider future capabilities at cm to IR wavelengths. 1 Radio surveys to μJy sensitivity Source counts based on low frequency surveys of the sky with Jy sensitivity showed a significant departure from a Euclidean, non-evolving sourc...

Sensitive Radio Observations of High-Redshift Dusty QSOs

We present sensitive radio continuum imaging at 1.4 GHz and 4.9 GHz of seven high redshift QSOs selected for having a 240 GHz continuum detection, which is thought to be thermal dust emission. We detect radio continuum emission from four of the sources: BRI 0952−0115, BR 1202−0725, LBQS 1230+1627B, and BRI 1335−0417. The radio source in BR 1202−0725 is resolved into two components, coincident w...
